Dsc03591-YosemiteLittleSlideCanyon  [24 of 35]

Upper reaches of Little Slide Canyon near Twin Lakes and Bridgeport, CA. There is no maintained trail up this canyon, so maneuvering heavy packs up 2000 feet through these huge boulder fields with  is a challenge. It requires wading through a boggy meadow at the base, then negotiating a difficult route up nearly 2000 feet through the boulder strewn canyon. The route eventually tops out to the right of the picture near pristine Maltby and Ice Lakes (next pictures).
